In the Ningyo-cho area of Nihonbashi, Tokyo – a woman was murdered. Detective Kaga Kyoichiro, who just transferred to the Nihonbashi police precinct, is placed in charge of the murder case. With virtually the entire residents of Ningyo-cho’s shopping street emerging as suspects, Detective Kaga must use his keen sense of deductive reasoning to uncover the truth.

A man is stabbed to death in Tokyo’s Nihonbashi area. The victim staggers with the knife still in the wound for eight minutes before collapsing under the winged statues of two Kirin on the famous Nihonbashi bridge. The suspect, on the other hand, is now in a coma, having fled the scene and been hit by a truck. On hearing this news, his girlfriend, Nakahara Kaori, insists that he is innocent. The case falls to Kaga Kyoichiro, a brilliant detective. Kaga realizes that behind this apparently open-and-shut case is a tangled web of a mystery involving both victim and suspects and their families. What was the victim thinking as he died? Will Kaga unravel the mystery at the heart of the case?
Kaga Kyoichiro of the Tokyo Metro Police Department’s First Investigative Division ends up going to see the ballet “Swan Lake,” but falls asleep during the performance. When he wakes up, he is captivated by the performance of the black swan.
One day, a man is murdered in the office of the Takayanagi Ballet company. As Kaga investigates, during the dress rehearsal of Sleeping Beauty, another man is poisoned to death. Are these deaths related?
A strangled female corpse is discovered in an apartment, and the apartment’s resident has vanished. The investigation hits rough waters, but soon they learn about female theater director Asai. Detective Matsumiya forges ahead with the investigation while questioning whether a charred corpse discovered in the vicinity is related to the case, but then Kaga learns of a fact that leaves him stunned.
