Takeuchi Shinobu, a beautiful but quick-tongued and quick-handed Osaka native who serves as the poster girl for her family’s okonomiyaki restaurant, becomes a new elementary school teacher assigned to a 6th-grade class. The series follows the mysterious and peculiar cases that befall Shinobu-sensei and her students’ detective club, which they solve together by combining their efforts. Based on the original work by Higashino Keigo, this drama was broadcast as part of the “Drama Ai no Uta” (Drama Songs of Love) series, which delivers messages of love and courage to children and young adults.

Based on Higashino Keigo’s popular novel, this drama stars Tabe Mikako as a mystery-loving teacher who can’t stand injustice.

Shinobu, a newly appointed teacher at Ohji Elementary School in downtown Osaka, has a passion for mystery novels and a strong sense of justice. With her curiosity and proactive nature, she finds herself involved in mysterious cases happening around her. Declaring “I’m Shinobu from Ohji!” to wrongdoers, this spirited teacher and her equally mischievous students solve complex cases that even detectives struggle with!

While maintaining its mystery elements, this first-rate entertainment is filled with warmth in its portrayal of family and friendship. Tabe Mikako takes on her first teacher role, supported by the “Junior Detective Club” members played by Maeda Koki (of Maeda Maeda), Hamada Tatsuomi, and Takahashi Akira. Their female classmates are played by Yagi Yuki, Hamabe Minami, and Ninomiya Sei, with Koki’s brother Maeda Oshiro (of Maeda Maeda) also appearing.

The cast includes Koike Teppei as a detective who has feelings for Shinobu, Danda Yasunori as his superior, Matsuzaka Keiko as Shinobu’s mother, Kobayashi Fumio as the vice principal, and Kimura Fumino as a beautiful music teacher colleague. Additional cast members include Yamamoto Koji, Nukumizu Youichi, and Saito Yuki, with special guest appearances by Hisamoto Masami, Tomita Yasuko, and Kimura Yuichi.
