Hana Yori Dango

Tsukushi Makino is a poor but upbeat student who attends Eitoku Gakuen, the school of the rich and privileged, that is overlooked by a group of four boys called the F4, who each come from extremely powerful families. If a student ends up getting on the wrong side of the F4, they receive a red notice before being harassed and chased from the school.

Makino tries to keep her head down and just continue her quiet high school life, but one day she can’t help but stand up to Domyoji in defense of her friend. Although her actions cause a stir, and in turn result in her receiving the dreaded red note, she continues to hold her head high and carry on attending the school. Her resolve manages to get the attention of the F4, as well as capturing the interest of none other than Domyoji himself.

The second season of Hana Yori Dango picks up a year after the first season. After Makino’s confession to Domyoji, he left to go to New York and she hasn’t seen him for the whole year. Rui and the other members of F4 try to help them reunite by travelling to New York for the Christmas holiday. Upon meeting him again, he seems to be a completely different person. The group heads back to Japan. After some time, Domyoji and his family return to Japan in order to make an important announcement..

The Makinos take New York in this special Hana Yori Dango spin-off. Worried about Tsukushi going to New York by herself to look for Tsukasa, the Makino parents also head to the Big Apple for their first family vacation. Traveling on a tight budget, the bumbling family of three eat and visit the best of New York spending as little money as possible and creating some funny adventures along the way. ~~ This is a travel variety show with Hana Yori Dango cast members, the program introduces things to do and places to visit in New York, with silly challenges and punishments sprinkled in. Story threads are also introduced as lead-in to Hana Yori Dango 2.

Makino and Domyoji have decided to marry, but are they really ready to take that step? F4 (Flower Four), 4 close friends, are crucial to helping them determine if they are ready to make a lifetime commitment to each other.

It’s been 10 years since Domyoji’s legendary F4 members graduated from Eitoku Academy, and since then the school has been suffering a decline in funding and student enrollment. C5 is a group of students formed at the high school, lead at the helm by Kaguragi Haruto. They are worried about the school’s demise and decide that the only way to fix things is to kick out any students they consider unworthy of the school. Edogawa Oto attends the academy but is secretly a “commoner”, pretending to be from a rich family. She worries that her secret will be found out. She has a fiance, who she will marry only on the condition she attends Eitoku Academy until she is 18 years old. He attends Momonozono Academy, a rival school, which has been threatening to the standards and success of Eitoku.
