Synopsis

Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, this live-action drama is a “contract love story” about clumsy adults searching for true happiness.
 
Tsuyama Seri works as a manga editor at a publishing company. Scarred by past trauma, she has grown fearful of forming deep connections with others. Although she longs for the thrill of romance, she has no desire to become someone’s “special one” and risk getting hurt, or hurting someone else.
One night at a bar, Seri meets “high-spec” man Kagaya Mahiro, who too secretly longs for a carefree kind of romance without complications. Sharing the same mindset, the two strike up a unique arrangement: to become “koifure” – friends who enjoy only the sweetest parts of love without the burdens of a full relationship.
 
Bound by the absolute rule that “if either of us falls in love for real, the “koifure” relationship ends immediately” their arrangement should have been perfect. Yet as their dates continued, genuine feelings that could no longer be ignored began to bloom between them.
