Synopsis

“Twilight Dreams: The Care Bar Versailles” – A Unique Drama About Second Chances

When cash-strapped Kohinata Shuu (Ozaki Ichika) stumbles into an unusual establishment tucked away in a corner of the city, she discovers “Care Bar Versailles” – a place unlike any other. The bar’s shelves display medical equipment and IV bottles with customers’ names labeled on them, while most patrons are elderly individuals requiring nursing care.

Yet something magical happens when guests enter this extraordinary space. The aging visitors regain their youthful vigor, becoming energetic enough to sing, drink joyfully, and dance with unexpected lightness. The bar’s secret lies in the special wine “SEE YOU IN MY DREAMS” served by Mama Uesugi Marie (Miyazaki Yoshiko), which comes from an unknown source that even the staff can’t identify.

Each person may taste this extraordinary wine only once in their lifetime – a single glass that transports them to a dreamlike realm where they can reclaim forgotten opportunities and unfinished business from their younger days. Following this experience, the bar prepares a meaningful final meal – either the most memorable dish from the customer’s life or something they’ve always longed for but never tasted. This meal sometimes becomes their last supper, bringing both blissful smiles and tears. Whether these experiences are reality or illusion remains unclear, but everyone leaves the establishment with a refreshed spirit and sense of peace.
