Synopsis

Set in the vibrant streets of Asakusa, this heartwarming original drama follows the unconventional and free-spirited grandmother Matsuko (portrayed by Umezawa Tomio) as she launches her own handyman service with the bold name “Last Boss Grandma.” A touching human drama filled with laughter, tears, and inspiration.

Answering requests from those in need, Matsuko tackles each problem in her own eccentric and unpredictable way—sometimes shocking, always sincere. She meets people eye-to-eye, stumbles and fumbles, but never gives up, solving problems with full energy, charm, and heart. At the same time, she confronts her own loneliness and the meaning of life in her later years, evolving with each challenge.

Living with Matsuko in a shared house are a cast of colorful characters constantly swept up by her curiosity—an uptight and perfectionist ward office worker in her 30s, a video creator in her 20s, a rickshaw puller named Daisuke, and a Korean exchange student. As they cross paths with Matsuko, each of them begins to change in their own way.
