Synopsis

Produced by Nippon TV, AX-ON, and Izanagi Games, this drama was created to maximize the quality of the full-length live-action game “AKIBA LOST.”
 
Thirteen years ago, the “Akiba Disappearance” case shocked Tokyo’s Akihabara, when six young girls vanished without a trace. The case remains unsolved to this day. One of them was Shinjo Daiki’s younger sister Ruri.
 
Once hailed as a genius creator, Shinjo Daiki announces at the annual game show that he will develop a new title: “AKIBA LOST,” inspired by that very incident. However, immediately after the announcement, Daiki receives a chilling phone call: “Stop developing the game, or the tragedy will repeat itself.”
 
Soon after, Shinjo Aoi, Daiki’s younger sister and one of the game’s cast members, becomes caught up in the incident and vanishes. Shinjo Daiki is forced to make the ultimate choice: complete the game, or protect his sister and friends.
