Synopsis

43-year-old Oji Mitsutaka (Mashima Hidekazu), a handsome and gentlemanly division manager, is trusted by both his superiors and subordinates. He struggles with a grave secret which is at odds with his appearance – his great love for cute things. He works hard and finds comfort in the dog plush toy called Pug Taro which he is a fan of. A divorcee who lives alone, Mitsutaka’s happiest moments are being buried in Pug Taro-related goods at home. When he was a kid, his older sister gave him a soft toy which he came to love. Checking out new merchandise information feeds his obsession and makes him happy. Although Mitsutaka has kept this secret under wraps, deep down in his heart he dreams of sharing it with someone. There are several potential candidates including Kawai Kenta (Imai Tsubasa), the first person who shares the same interest; Naruto Wataru (Kiriyama Ren), Mitsutaka’s rival in the next division; and Nii Masumi (Fujiwara Taiyu), his nephew who stays at his place.
