Actress Toda Erika and actor Miura Haruma will be starring in Fuji TV’s drama which airs in January 2011 (Mondays at 9PM), titled “Taisetsu na koto wa subete kimi ga oshietekureta” (You taught me everything about what’s important). This will be the first time the two have starred together. It’s also a first for both to play leads as fellow teachers who promise to marry each other in 6 months. The story centers on a forbidden love triangle in which Miura, the biology teacher, has a relationship with one of his female students where “Love is Tested.” Toda said, “I want to tell people who watch that love is a universal theme.” Miura enthusiastically commented, “I want to make this the best drama with the staff and cast.”
Uemura Natsumi (Toda) and Kashiwagi Shuji (Miura) are waiting to get married half a year later. However, Shuji makes the mistake of getting involved with a young female student of his. Natsumi is a passionately honest English teacher adored by her students. Shuji, Natsumi’s fiancee, needs to face himself after experiencing jealousy and cruelty caused by his betrayal. Miura has a difficult role to portray as Shuji who has put his fiancee and a female student in pain. Shuji wants to save this student after knowing all the darkness that she holds in her heart.
Producer Masumoto Jun commented, “This isn’t a romantic drama about who stays with who, since love is already established from the start. Getting through it is what makes it extremely difficult. I want to describe it carefully as being dramatic and thrilling.”
