Synopsis

A gruesome discovery is made directly in front of a Tokyo police station – the body of a young woman is found with all her organs removed. Detective Inukai Hayato from the Criminal Investigation Division begins investigating alongside Furukawa Kazuya, a rookie detective recently transferred from Saitama Prefecture Police for training.

As the bewildered investigation team struggles to make progress, a statement arrives at a television station from someone calling themselves “Jack the Ripper,” seemingly mocking the police. Soon, a second and third case with identical methodology occur, suggesting the hallmarks of a theatrical crime spree.

Eventually, investigators uncover a critical connection – all victims had received organ transplants from the same donor. Detective Inukai, whose own daughter is waiting for an organ transplant, finds himself torn between his roles as detective and father as he closes in on the culprit.
