Synopsis

April 1956. Shotaro (Nakajima Kento), an 18-year-old high school graduate who dreams of becoming a manga artist, waits for the train that will take him from Ishimori Station in his hometown of Miyagi Prefecture to Tokyo. The only family member who came to see him off was his sister Yoshie (Kimura Fumino), who is three years older and the sole person in his family who supports Shotaro’s ambitions.
