Tengu no Daidokoro

At 14-years-old, Izuna On discovers he and his brother Motoi are both descendents of Tengu (flying goblin-like creatures of Japan folklore). Motoi has wings, which is somewhat rare among Tengu descendants, while On has the ability to communicate with animals. Due to their heritage, the two brothers live together, separated from normal society, and the story focuses on their everyday lives.

On (Koshiyama Keitatsu), who spent 14 years in seclusion with Motoi (Komagine Kiita), couldn’t shake off the peaceful, mindful lifestyle of the village, even after returning to New York.

One day, exhausted by the fast-paced, impersonal life in NY, On has a huge argument with his mother (Watanabe Makiko). In a fit of anger, he storms out and heads back to the village where Motoi lives. Reunited, On and Motoi reminisce and, just like a year ago, they start cooking together again.

However, it soon comes to light that On used a credit card without his mother’s permission to fund his trip to the village, and now the card has been canceled. Motoi suggests they save up together for On’s ticket back to New York. With the help of Yui (Shiono Akihisa), who regularly visits the cottage, the three of them begin their life together once again.

A new season of Tengu no Daidokoro will air in Fall 2026.
Based on the manga of the same name, On (Koshiyama Keitatsu), Motoi (Komagine Kiita) and Yui (Shiono Akihisa) will return for this third season, in which the characters, now living separate lives, will reunite in the village. An original story will unfold, which will be overseen by the original author, and new cast members are scheduled to appear.
