A former leader of a motorcycle gang, Kintaro is known for his highly principled and forthright way of dealing with matters and is never afraid to tell his superiors exactly what he thinks. This has a tendency of irritating some, but when corruption from within the company begins to surface, he may be the only one who can stand up to it.
Kintaro’s popular TV series based on the former gang leader turned salary-man is back again. In this series, Kintaro’s construction company merges with another, but the two staffs still compete against each other. Kintaro is assigned to work in the president’s office and must help to confront the core problems of the corporation in Kintaro’s characteristically aggressive fashion. Will it be enough to move those so unwilling to change?
Following the death of his mentor, Yamato Construction chairman Ryunosuke Yamato, and tired of the Japanese corporate system, Kintaro leaves the salaryman life. He returns to his hometown and becomes a fisherman. There he lives peacefully with his wife Masumi (Michiko Hada) and their two children. Then an unexpected visitor arrives. It is Ryunosuke’s younger cousin, Momotaro Shimazu (Hideki Takahashi). Momotaro puts a strange request to Kintaro – come back to Yamato Construction and work with Ryunosuke’s son Ryuhei (Kazushige Nagashima) to rid it of its current management. Current Yamato president Takatsukasa (Naoki Hosaka) has given in to pressure from ex-bureaucrat Enjoji and is about to become his accomplice in a shady scheme. Kintaro’s sense of honor is rekindled. Kintaro the salaryman rises again – to save Yamato Construction and to see justice done!
A new film adaptation of Motomiya Hiroshi’s famous manga “Salaryman Kintaro”, starring Suzuki Nobuyuki from the “Tokyo Revengers” series, will be released as a two-part film series, with this being the first installment.
The movie portrays the story of Yajima Kintaro, a former biker gang leader who leaps into the world of corporate life from being a tuna fisherman, showcasing how he wreaks havoc in modern society using his inherent courage and physical strength.

Directed as the second installment in a two-part series, this adaptation brings the legendary character to life, highlighting themes of personal resilience and corporate challenge.
Yamato Construction newcomer Yajima Kintarō is assigned his first major project: a geothermal power plant in Kyushu. Brimming with enthusiasm, Kintarō heads to the site, only to face a series of challenges, including a boycott by subcontractors and fierce opposition from local residents. Amidst the turmoil, he finds himself helping out at a hot spring inn while recovering from an injury. As he spends time there, Kintarō begins to uncover the townspeople’s true feelings and the hidden circumstances surrounding the project.
