Shinichi Ohara (Isao Hashizume) and Chikako Ohara (Atsuko Takahata) have been married for 50 years. After Shinichi Ohara retired from his job, he has stayed at home. Chikako Ohara stresses over her husband staying at home. They are on the verge of having a divorce.
Meanwihle, their daughter, Aya Ohara (Ayame Gouriki), runs a food truck. She meets Ryota Kanno (Masaru Mizuno), who is her customer. Ryota Kanno recently began working as a funeral undertaker. He invites Aya Ohara to attend the Oshukatsu Fair. Aya Ohara also recommends to her mother Chikako Ohara to attend the Oshukatsu Fair. Chikako Ohara gets the latest information on preparing for death at the fair, but Shinichi Ohara doesn’t like that. Their relationship gets even worse.

Ohara Chikako and Ohara Shinichi celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary, marking a golden milestone in their marriage. Their only daughter, Aya Ohara, has recently transitioned from running a food truck business to working as a nutritionist at a high-end care facility, and her wedding to her boyfriend, Sugano Ryota, is just around the corner. Life seems perfect for the Ohara family until one day, suspicions arose that Shinichi might be suffering from dementia.
Meanwhile, Chikako reconnects with Maruyama Hanae, the daughter of her former chanson teacher from her youth, which inspires her to resume her singing lessons. Encouraged by Hanae, who is now a live music concert producer, Chikako eagerly prepares for a stage performance. However, just as the concert approaches, the event is suddenly put at risk of being canceled…
Ohara Aya, the eldest daughter of Ohara Shinichi and Chikako finally decides to marry her fiancé, Ryota. However, just days before the wedding, an offhand remark by Aya creates a rift in their relationship, escalating into a major conflict that draws both families into turmoil. Meanwhile, Kato Hiroshi, a junior colleague of Ohara Shinichi, struggles to accept that his mother is suffering from progressive dementia, and ends up speaking to her harshly. In response, Chikako gently reminds him, “Even with dementia, the heart does not forget.”
