Based on the novel of the same name, this is the sequel to “Lilac no Hanasaku Kemonomichi” which aired in Winter 2025.
It follows Kishimoto Satori, a shut-in who followed her aspirations to become a veterinarian. After passing the national exam alongside her fellow veterinary students Kajita Ayaka and Kubo Zansetsu, she embarks on a career as a veterinarian. However, a designated livestock infectious disease outbreak strikes. She faces the harsh ordeal of culling all infected livestock and animals suspected of infection. Satori struggles with the burden of taking lives in order to save lives. What gives her the strength to overcome this trial is the presence of her close-knit companions, with whom she shares a strong bond.
