The heroine for this Asadora has been announced as Imada Mio. It is loosely based on the life story of Anpanman manga creator Yanase Takashi and his wife Komatsu Nobuo.
Outline:
In the early Showa period, there was a girl racing through the streets of Kochi with incredible momentum. Her name was “Hachikin Onobu”, also known as Asada Nobu. Meanwhile, Yanai Takashi (Yanai Takashi), who lost his father to illness during childhood, was taken in by his uncle and meets Nobu at his new school. As the sounds of war drew near, Nobu became a fanatically patriotic military girl, just like those around her.
Eventually, war broke out and Takashi was drafted. The war completely transformed Nobu’s values, and she became the first female reporter at a Kochi newspaper, believing that “one must determine what is right for oneself.” After the war, Takashi, who had quit his job collecting scraps, joined the same newspaper, and they became colleagues at the same magazine. While Takashi wanted to become a manga artist in Tokyo, he was anxious about whether he could make a living. Nobu told him, “You should come later. I’ll go to Tokyo first and wait for you,” and she quit the newspaper and moved to Tokyo.
Takashi followed Nobu to Tokyo, and their life in a shabby six-tatami-mat apartment began. There was no bath, and the toilet was shared. The ceiling had holes, and on rainy days they had to use an umbrella inside, but on clear nights, they could see the stars. They found this life interesting, and both thought, “I want to be with this person who can enjoy life in any environment,” and they got married. The creation of “Palms toward the Sun” and “Anpanman” was still far in the future…
