Alibi Kuzushi Uketamawarimasu

Mitani Tokino (played by Hamabe Minami) is a young watchmaker running her grandfather’s inherited shop in a shopping district of Nano Prefecture. While repairing watches, she plans to start offering “alibi breaking” services for cases involving time, charging 5,000 yen upon success.

Tokino meets Saji Yoshiyuki (played by Yasuda Ken), a supervisor newly transferred to the Prefectural Police Investigation Division, when they witness a man being hit by a car. Before losing consciousness, the man whispers to them, “I just killed someone in an apartment.”

The victim turns out to be famous mystery novelist Okuyama Shinichiro (played by Maruyama Tomomi). At the apartment mentioned by Okuyama, Saji joins detective Tokai Yuma (played by Narita Ryo), section chief Makimura Takumi (played by Katsumura Masanobu), and medical examiner Higuchi Hideto (played by Emoto Tokio), where they discover the body of Nakajima Kasumi (played by Mori Kanna).

However, their investigation reveals that Okuyama had an ironclad alibi making the crime impossible! Unable to solve this difficult case, Saji secretly requests Tokino’s “alibi breaking” services. Can this unlikely duo solve this challenging mystery?

When Tokino was in her first year of junior high school, her grandfather made a “tool to move time”,and Tokino learned how to alibi crack with her grandfather. In addition, Detective Tokai Yuma from the First Investigative Division, who has feelings for Tokino, appears. The scene where Tokino, a first-year junior high school student, and Tokai, a third-year high school student, meet for the first time is also depicted.

Young watch store owner Mitani Tokino, and detectives Saji Yoshiyuki and Tokai Yuma are back after four years in this special episode. This time around, the popular TV show “Prefectural Police 24 Hours Close Coverage” follows the members of the Investigation Division. A competition to be the main focus unfolds between Yoshiyuki, eager to solve cases spectacularly and make a comeback to the Police Agency, and Yuma, who wants to show off his strong points to Tokino, who is a fan of the show. Meanwhile, a stabbing incident involving a wealthy individual occurs. With the TV crew in tow, Yoshiyuki is determined to solve the case on his own this time, without relying on Tokino for help. However, at the crime scene, the crucial weapon is missing, and all three suspects have solid alibis… Reluctantly, Yoshiyuki requests Tokino to break the alibi secretly. However, this time, it’s an extremely difficult case that even surpasses Tokino’s deductive abilities…
