Synopsis

This film explores the theme of self-reliance as a woman who is not interested in romance seeks a life of freedom without external judgment.

Kasumi, a 30-year-old woman, has abandoned her dream of becoming a professional cellist and now lives with her parents and grandmother while working a monotonous call center job. Her mother is eager to see Kasumi married, but Kasumi has no interest in romance or marriage. Few people understand that she doesn’t feel lonely. One day, reconnecting with an old friend gives her the strength to face the truth about how she wants to live her life. This humanistic drama challenges conservative views on romance and values, focusing on the contemporary theme of pursuing a life with more freedom and fewer prejudices.
