Synopsis

“Satsujin no Mon (The Gate of Murder)” is a gripping psychological drama that follows the twisted, decades-long relationship between Kuramochi – a man who derails his best friend’s life – and Tajima, the man who comes to want him dead.
 
Spanning nearly 30 years, the story centers on Tajima, who is repeatedly saved in times of trouble by his childhood friend and “best friend,” Kuramochi. Charismatic, flawless, and effortlessly charming, Kuramochi is the kind of man everyone is drawn to. Yet, at every turning point where Tajima’s life begins to fall apart, Kuramochi is always there in the shadows. No matter how hard Tajima tries to distance himself, Kuramochi inevitably reappears…
 
As time passes, Tajima’s growing suspicion toward Kuramochi evolves into an overwhelming urge to kill him. The story builds toward a tense internal struggle, as Tajima grapples with whether he will cross the ultimate line and cross through his own “Gate of Murder.”
