Synopsis

This compelling drama draws inspiration from the Nunobashi Kanjoe, a women’s traditional religious ceremony held once every three years at Mount Tate in Toyama Prefecture. The story portrays a deeply wounded woman’s emotional recovery and her courageous steps toward a new beginning.

Yukiko lost her beloved three-year-old daughter 15 years ago, leaving her with unhealing pain and inescapable guilt. One day, captivated by a single painting she encounters by chance, she travels to Mount Tate – the sacred mountain depicted in the artwork and revered as an object of mountain worship since ancient times. There, she meets other women carrying their own burdens and experiences a transformative, almost mystical encounter.
