Synopsis

This work follows Shimizu Misora, a young woman who, after failing in her job hunting efforts, secures an internship at the funeral company “Bandai Hall.” Under the strict guidance of her mentor, funeral planner Urushibara Reiji, they form a team dedicated to creating “the perfect funeral” in this touching human drama.

Despite feeling discouraged by the rigorous training, Shimizu Misora gradually develops admiration for Urushibara Reiji’s thoughtful dedication to bereaved families and the deceased, particularly when he gently announces, “Soon, it will be time to say goodbye” during funeral departures. What constitutes a funeral that satisfies not only the surviving family but also the departed? As Shimizu confronts this question alongside Urushibara, she resolves to follow in his footsteps and pursue a career as a funeral planner.
