Synopsis

Based on the novel of the same name by Asakura Kasumi (published by Kobunsha in 2018), the story won the 32nd Yamamoto Shugoro Prize and was also nominated for the 161st Naoki Prize. It follows two former middle school classmates, now both single, as they reconnect after 35 years and slowly open their hearts to one another.

Sakai stars as Aoto Kensho, an ordinary man who, after divorcing his wife, returns to his hometown and leads a modest life working at a local printing company. Igawa plays Sudo Yoko, the woman Aoto once had feelings for during their school days.
Separated for 35 years since middle school, the two begin to naturally fall for each other—for the first time, at age 50.
Before long, they even start talking about the future…
