Synopsis

Sae lives with her mother, Ryoko (Yakushimaru Hiroko), in Hokkaido and dreams of attending university in Tokyo. While studying for entrance exams under the watchful eye of a dogwood tree that her late father (ARATA) planted in their garden as a message to Sae, she meets Kohei, the heir to a fishing family who attends a fisheries high school, and they fall in love with each other. When Sae eventually passes her university entrance exams, their long-distance relationship begins, but challenges await this young couple as they navigate love across the miles between Hokkaido and Tokyo.
