Gunkan Shonen

Synopsis

Kaisei Sakamoto is in high school and lives in a town with a view of Gunkanjima in Nagasaki. His father, Genkai, runs a small ramen shop. Kaisei, who has lost his beloved mother, is always prone to fighting others while Genkai, whose late wife was his childhood sweetheart, drowns his sorrows in alcohol. Struggling with their loss, both father and son are also at odds with each other. One day, Kaisei learns his parents were born on Gunkanjima. Meanwhile, Genkai notices a letter on the altar where his wife is enshrined.
