Synopsis

The second Golden Kamuy movie is set to be released in March 2026.
 
Based on the manga by Noda Satoru, “Golden Kamuy” is a survival action story set in late-Meiji era Hokkaido. It follows former army soldier Sugimoto Saichi, who seeks the vast hidden treasure left behind by the Ainu, and the young Ainu girl Asirpa, who joins him on his dangerous adventure.
 
The fight over the stolen Ainu gold has evolved into a three-way conflict involving Sugimoto Saichi and Asirpa, the Seventh Division led by Lieutenant Tsurumi, and the Hijikata Toshizo faction.Their fierce battle now shifts to Abashiri Prison, where “Noppera-Bou,” the mastermind who tattooed the location of the gold onto escaped convicts, is incarcerated.
