Synopsis

In Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal overlooking the majestic Himalayas, mountain photographer Fukamachi Makoto discovers an old camera. This camera may hold the key to one of the greatest mysteries in mountaineering history – whether British climber George Mallory truly reached the summit of Everest on June 8, 1924.
As Fukamachi traces the camera’s mysterious past, he crosses paths with Habu Joji, a legendary alpinist once hailed as a prodigy but later shunned for his reckless, self-centered climbing style. While investigating Habu’s past, Fukamachi gradually finds himself drawn into the depths of the man’s extraordinary life.
