GODZILLA MINUS ONE

Another great Godzilla movie coming from japan after shin-godzilla. While shin-godzilla is a political satire movie but with kaijus, Godzilla minus one is a war movie, specifically dealing with the aftermath of war (shame, guilt, trauma, innocent deaths), with kaijus. The movie’s pacing is a major highlight for me. I never once felt bored as the creators choosing to focus the plot on just shikishima (as played kamiki ryonosuke) keeps the storyline focused & brisk. Another major highlight is the creators managing to keep the tension high throughout the movie, & I never once felt unrewarded by the tension despite *spoilers* none of the main characters died. A great movie about the folly of war while using Godzilla as a plot device.
