Synopsis

Based on the novel of the same name by Nagao Kazuhiro, this film is set in a near-future Japan where the “Euthanasia Bill” has been passed. The story follows Shotaro, a terminally ill rapper with only six months left to live who opposes euthanasia, and his journalist partner. The two decide to enter a government-designated “Euthanasia Special Ward” with the goal of exposing its true nature. As they encounter residents with different struggles and engage in dialogue with doctors, their perspectives begin to change.
