Synopsis

“Tokyo Camouflage Hour” is a story based on the omnibus manga of the same name by Matsumoto Chiaki. The narrative explores the true feelings and lies of men and women living in Tokyo, while carrying a sense of loneliness. Matsukura portrays Utsunomiya Hiroto, a fair-skinned young man originally from Yamagata Prefecture who came to Tokyo through a company transfer. He is an awkward yet straightforward youth attempting to live a pretentious Tokyo life while camouflaging his feelings of inferiority. Holding onto the belief that “something will change once I come to Tokyo”, he suddenly has a “one-night stand” with an older woman exuding urban sophistication whom he meets at a bar.
