Synopsis

“Help me!” A call came to housewife Teruko (Fubuki Jun) from her best friend, chanson singer Lui (Natsuki Mari). “Help me”… those words echoed Teruko’s own feelings. At her breaking point with her emotionally abusive husband who treated her like a servant, Teruko begins an escape from Tokyo with the now-homeless Lui in the passenger seat after being evicted from her long-time apartment.
Both women had been hiding certain secrets in their hearts—opening a powerful “sisterhood drama” featuring a dream collaboration between two talented actresses! This refreshing and sometimes comical story follows these two women in their 70s as they seize their freedom, embark on new lives, and pass hope to the younger generation, delivered with songs, laughter, and tears.
