Synopsis

Tokisawa Eta is an android who has traveled from 400 years in the future. In a pitch-dark, empty apartment room, space-time suddenly crackles and warps — and Eta is transported from the future. His core programming has one mission: to protect heroine Kamio Kurumi from an unknown threat hunting her down.
 
Kurumi works as an editor at a shojo manga publisher — a career she was practically born for. But despite once thriving as a weekly magazine reporter, even earning a company presidential award for her outstanding work, she suddenly finds herself reassigned to an unfamiliar role. Struggling to keep up with a job she wasn’t prepared for, she has been stumbling through one mistake after another, her days weighed down by frustration and self-doubt.
 
Eta observes and analyzes Kurumi from the shadows, and before long, he shows up at her manga editorial office as a new part-time employee. His movements and words are anything but human, leaving Kurumi bewildered at every turn. Then, when Kurumi’s own carelessness lands her in a pinch, Eta comes to her rescue in the most unexpected way…
