Synopsis

Tabe Mikako portrays Murakami Shiho, a woman who, motivated by a past experience, resolves to transform “housework into a profession” for the sake of her family. Until her husband returns home, she spends her long days with her two-year-old daughter. Through an unexpected turn of events, Shiho begins interacting with working mothers and elite bureaucrats on parental leave, ultimately confronting individuals living on the metaphorical “opposite shore” whose lifestyles and perspectives are entirely different from her own.
