Synopsis

The latest instalment in the Shumatsu Tabi no Gokui series focuses on marriage.
 
Fukagawa Mai plays the protagonist Shindo Ayaka, who works at a staffing agency, while Senga Kento plays her boyfriend Ono Takashi, a salaryman at an insurance company. The couple, now in their mid-thirties after five years together, have begun thinking about marriage — but neither can quite find the right moment to bring it up.
 
Then one day, Ayaka catches a TV program featuring families who open up about their true feelings during weekend getaways. Inspired, the two embark on a trip of their own, finding comfort in delicious meals and breathtaking scenery as they rediscover the warmth they’d been missing. But just as Takashi begins to talk about their future together, Ayaka drops an unexpected confession.
