Synopsis

At Hummingbird House, a children’s shelter, Tsukumo Sakura works as a food staff member, having previously provided free oyakodon (chicken and egg rice bowls) to children in need, believing “when you fill an empty stomach, you’ll fill the heart too.”

A children’s shelter is a temporary refuge for young people who cannot live with their families due to abuse, neglect, parental disappearance, or other circumstances. However, children who have lost faith in adults and closed off their hearts completely reject Sakura’s philosophy. She quickly realizes how challenging it is to truly connect with these children.

Despite this, Sakura refuses to give up, continuing her efforts to share love and hope with the children. Hummingbird House becomes a place where her own worth is tested.

Now, two years later – what new challenges await Tsukumo Sakura?
