Synopsis

The protagonist is a man who has been tossed around by fate and lost everything – his brilliant career, family, and friends – Aratani Shinji (Tsutsui Michitaka). His current position is Section Chief of the Family Registration Management Division within the Civil Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Justice. While colleagues whisper behind their backs that the Family Registration Management Division is “a department that does work that doesn’t need to be done,” their true duty is to carry out top-secret orders from the Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Justice: to isolate time travelers coming from the future in designated residential areas and place them under protective observation.

Shortly, time machines will be developed, and various time travelers with different purposes have already arrived in the present day. The Family Registration Management Division was newly established to prevent these time travelers from affecting the present and to prevent their existence from becoming known to the public, which would cause confusion. The drama follows the struggles of Aratani and his Family Registration Management Division colleagues in a standalone episode format. Although time machines have been developed in the future, they are imperfect – once someone travels to the past, they cannot return to their original time. Yet time travelers continue to arrive – what intense feelings do they carry, and what are they trying to redo in the present day? Each episode features heart-pounding excitement and slightly tearful climaxes! Stay tuned!
