A human drama about the interaction between a lawyer who becomes a suspect in a murder case and a young girl with autism spectrum disorder who becomes the only witness to the crime.

Hasebe Kyosuke, a lawyer who has abandoned his path as a human rights attorney, now works for major corporations at a large law firm. Adhering to the firm’s policy of protecting its reputation, he is assigned as a court-appointed defense counsel to Nakano Eiko, a housekeeper accused in the murder of a wealthy client. However, Nakano maintains her innocence, insisting that she didn’t kill anyone and instead was trying to save them from committing suicide.

The prosecution’s key witness is Koike Nozomi, a young girl who lives across the street and the only eyewitness to the incident. Hasebe soon learns that Nozomi is on the autism spectrum. As he visits her regularly, the two gradually begin to build a connection. Yet in the courtroom, they must face each other as defense attorney and witness, placing Hasebe in a deeply conflicted position…
