Native Title: マッサン

Synopsis

It is based on the true story of Taketsuru Masataka and his Scottish wife Rita Cowen. Masataka is the first Japanese person to produce whisky in Japan when he opened his own distillery in Hokkaido in 1934. The title comes from Rita’s nickname for Masataka.
