Synopsis

In an apartment building where children are prohibited, struggling manga artist Karino Shin lives a self-indulgent lifestyle. One day, a mysterious 5-year-old boy named Sato Kotaro suddenly moved into the neighboring room, living alone with his circumstances. Sometimes appearing more mature than anyone else, yet occasionally showing his childlike true feelings, Kotaro’s shocking encounter with Karino transforms not only him but also the other apartment residents, as they rediscover the importance of adult responsibility and caring for others, gradually growing as people.

On Saturday nights, viewers can chuckle at Kotaro’s surprisingly adult-like behavior while being moved to tears by his earnest and endearing childlike moments in this heartwarming comedy. This spring, the gentlest story in Japan begins to unfold, featuring the Karino and Kotaro duo alongside the apartment residents who weave together this touching tale of human connection and personal growth.
