Synopsis

My life so far cannot avoid that summer. That summer, when I learned that loving someone means knowing the pain of longing…

Sakurai Haruka, age 27, arrives as an English teacher at Nishiizumi High School. When students come to Haruka for romantic advice, she gradually begins to unravel her own bittersweet and fleeting high school romance.

During high school, Haruka, Mirei, and Kanata were best friends whom everyone envied. All three believed their current relationship would continue forever just as it was.

Then suddenly, Ririko, Haruka’s non-blood-related sister, returns from overseas. When they meet again after several years, she has become so beautiful that her classmates call her a “goddess.” While Haruka usually builds walls with others, Ririko forcefully approaches her. One night, saying “I have nowhere else to go, so I can live here, right?” she suddenly shows up at the house and begins crying in Haruka’s arms.

Haruka is confused by her forceful sister, Mirei, who secretly harbors romantic feelings for Haruka, and Kanata notices Mirei’s feelings. While maintaining a delicate balance, the distance between the three who had always taken being close for granted, and the distance between the non-blood-related sisters living under one roof, these two “distances” slowly begin to change.
