Synopsis

Our 35-year-old main character, Ryouhei, who leaves house duties and the job of raising his child up to his wife, instead absorbing himself in work.
After deciding to quit his job amid questions concerning his work, waiting for Ryouhei would be his wife’s decision to leave the house.
“Family ~Wife’s Absence/Husband’s Existence~” is a new type of drama that depicts family from the man’s perspective, through a husband’s discord with his wife, raising a child, and his interaction with the people around him. We see a Ryouhei who, with little choice but to raise his young son himself, struggles with duties around the house and raising a child. Appearing before him is a 60-year-old man, Shin’ichirou, who lost his wife before they could be blessed with a child. Ryouhei, who lost his parents early on and grew up without knowing his father, would soon begin to form somewhat of a family with Shin’ichirou…
