Synopsis

Shintani Yōsuke (Mizobata Junpei) works as a salesman for housing equipment. After graduating high school, he left his hometown and has lived with a lid on his past for two reasons. The memory of his older brother, who died in an accident 18 years ago. The memory of one detestable teacher who cast a shadow over his youth.

He fled his hometown after high school graduation as if escaping from his past, but several months ago, a personnel transfer brought him back to his local area. There, he coincidentally reunites with his former classmate crush, Takenaka Misato (Takimoto Miori), who invites him to attend their high school reunion despite his reluctance. Meeting his childhood friends for the first time in ten years – Minagawa Kiichi (Sano Gaku), Ōmi Kazuyasu (Kimura Ryō), and Kataoka Yamato (Hirose Tomoki) – the conversation flows naturally.

The four friends, including Yōsuke, who has returned to his childlike spirit, impulsively plan revenge against their former corporal punishment teacher, Kashimura Sadashige. They kidnap him to teach him a lesson, then disband once they feel satisfied. It was meant to be just a prank. However, the next day, the teacher is mysteriously found dead at a different location.

Did one of the four return to the scene and kill the teacher? Everyone denies it, and each falls into mutual suspicion. Who is the culprit? What was the motive? This incident becomes the catalyst that causes everything they believed in to crumble with a thunderous crash.
