Synopsis

Kanakuri Shizo was the first Japanese person to participate in the Olympics, and Tabata Masaji brought the Olympics to Japan. Without these two men, there would be no Japanese Olympics. This drama depicts the turbulent half-century of Japanese “tears and laughter” from the devastating defeat at their first participation in the 1912 Stockholm Olympics to the realization of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics.
