Synopsis

Mitarai Yo (played by Adachi Rika) is a career woman working at a shoe manufacturing company. While successful in her professional life with fulfilling work experiences, her love life has been marked by repeated heartbreaks and recent disappointments. Ishida Ren (played by Shirasu Jin), her high school and university classmate who works at a development company specializing in urban redevelopment, is her closest confidant and the only person with whom she can be completely honest.

On Hikaru’s 29th birthday, the two make a bet: whoever gets married before the last day of their 30th year will receive 300,000 yen as a wedding gift from the other person. While both firmly declare that falling in love with each other is impossible, this bet triggers a series of events that gradually transform their “best friend” relationship. These include aggressive romantic advances from Ren’s junior colleague at work, sudden close attention from Yo’s workplace junior, and an unexpected reunion with Yo’s ex-boyfriend.
