Synopsis

Loosely based on the life of Saito Teruko, the wife of Japanese poet and psychiatrist, Saito Mokichi.
 
The drama takes bold creative liberties with the couple’s real-life story. It follows the turbulent relationship between the free-spirited, fiercely competitive Mori Teruko and the gloomy, obsessive Mokichi, weaving what is being billed as one of the most turbulent and estranged couples in the history of asadora.
 
Refusing to be confined by the traditional role of a wife, Teruko lived life on her own terms. She later became known for her adventurous spirit, undertaking expeditions to Antarctica and Mount Everest in her later years.
