Synopsis

When Prime Minister Ato Ichiro’s approval ratings plummet, his Secretary Koga Seiji makes a bold decision: reviving the position of the Official Residence Chef, a role vacant since the era of the “Great Prime Minister” Yoshida Shigeru, some 70 years ago.

Fate leads Koga to discover Ichiki Kurumi, a former ryotei waitress with extraordinary culinary talent. After some hesitation, Kurumi accepts the prestigious position, becoming the first female Official Residence Chef in Japanese history. However, she soon finds herself navigating a male-dominated world steeped in tradition, facing opposition from the antagonistic head chef of the residence cafeteria and his subordinates.

As Kurumi serves state-level guests in a political landscape filled with intrigue, her innovative dishes begin to influence not just the Prime Minister’s policies, but Japan’s political and diplomatic relations. Through her culinary expertise and determination, she proves that sometimes the path to political success runs through the kitchen.
