Synopsis

Remake of the popular series “Doctor Foster” from the UK which was also made into a successful Korean drama in 2020 called “The World of the Married.”

Makabe Yoko is a happily married doctor who lives with her husband Kouta and their two children. The morning after her husband returns from a business trip to Sapporo, they are making love when a woman’s lip balm falls out from his jacket. She didn’t pay attention at the time, but that very same day she found a long brown hair on her husband’s scarf that wasn’t her own. She wanted to believe in her husband but she couldn’t shake off the feeling of distrust she felt. That’s when she finds proof of the affair, and concurrently discovers the betrayal of her colleagues and neighbors who are helping him conceal it. Then, another weighty secret is brought to light – the pregnancy of her husband’s mistress, after which Yoko’s perfect image of a happy loving family crumbles.. Devastated by the betrayal, Yoko’s path to seek revenge begins…
