Synopsis

Both 35 years-old and single, Emily and Maria have known each other since kindergarten, attending the same private all-girls school through graduation. Emily runs her own apparel brand, while Maria is a high-powered television network executive. The two have been inseparable best friends since childhood, having gone to the same schools together and still meeting regularly to this day. They meet at their favorite café, laughing over each other’s dating app horror stories, chatting about beauty routines and other everyday topics over cake and tea. They take photos together, edit them, and laugh, proclaiming “We actually look pretty good today, don’t we?”
However, when Sakura, the younger nail artist from the salon they both frequent, joins them, Emily and Maria begin to notice something: whether it’s the latest trends or the videos playing on their smartphones, they somehow always seem slightly out of sync with the times.

As they struggle with feelings they can’t quite put into words, the two women begin to wonder: “What is this uncertainty we’re feeling?” and “Why do we keep longing for youthfulness?”
Carrying these unresolved thoughts with them, Emily and Maria set out in search of what happiness really means for them.
