Synopsis

Miyata Ayaka (played by Renbutsu Misako) is engaged to Hiyama Yuichi (played by Nakamura Aoi). She reluctantly calls her estranged single mother Harumi (played by Kikuchi Momoko) to inform her about the engagement. Harumi insists on evaluating whether Yuichi is a suitable match for her daughter.

The next day, Harumi waits outside Ayaka’s workplace and, coincidentally meeting Yuichi, invites him to a local izakaya. Harumi and Yuichi hit it off immediately, and Yuichi invites Harumi to Ayaka’s wedding dress fitting session.

However, on the day of the fitting, Harumi suffers a sudden stroke and is rushed to the hospital. While her mother remains unconscious for three months, Ayaka discovers an exchange diary left behind by her mother…
