Synopsis

Shigeko (Yoshioka Riho) and Matsuko (Nakamura Yuri) are the daughters of a wealthy family in Semba, Osaka, and the two sisters are as different as the moon and the sun. While Matsuko is bright and flamboyant, Shigeko is graceful and reserved. However, Shigeko is aware of a hidden darkness lurking within her — a monstrous side of herself concealed deep inside her heart.
In 1927, Shigeko and Matsuko encounter a man who will change their lives forever – Tanizaki Junichiro (Odagiri Joe), a “dangerous” man known for writing sensual and provocative novels.
The sisters find themselves dancing with Tanizaki at a dance hall, and in that moment, Shigeko becomes convinced of one thing: “In this world, only he alone can see the real me.”
