Synopsis

Set in an airport, this thrilling entertainment series follows a newly formed team made up of customs officers and personnel from various government ministries as they awaken as the “ultimate gatekeepers,” fighting to protect Japan’s peace and security.
 
As crimes such as smuggling, human trafficking, and terrorism escalate, Japan forms “GATE24 (Global Airport Task Enforcement),” a special airport unit under the Cabinet Secretariat designed to bypass bureaucracy and strengthen border security. Treated as outsiders and relegated to a remote inspection booth handling minor flights, the team must learn who and what to let through—and what to stop—as they grow into professionals protecting Japan’s front lines.
 
Shuri portrays Machi Mori, a newly appointed customs officer. Gifted with extraordinary observational skills, Machi uncovers hidden clues within smuggled goods and illegal weapons to reveal the truth. Her deep knowledge of global cultures and artifacts often amazes her fellow GATE24 members, but while she excels at reading objects, she struggles to understand people and frequently misses emotional cues. Still, her unwavering dedication gradually begins to inspire those around her.
